I had a flat tire on my bike this morning, so after going to the gym on the back-up bike, we took the tire, Toby, and the golf cart downtown to Kafe Racer for a new tube. While they were repairing the flat, we rode over to the marina to take Toby for a swim.
He was very excited, but reluctant to get in over his head.
He wanted to go further, but he kept getting scared.
He got lots of stimulation though . . . and a shower once he got home.
As we considered our bathroom renovation, we knew we would need to re-tile the bathroom floor because of the garden tub removal and shower renovation. And since the bathroom joins the bedroom and the bedroom carpet is beyond gross, we wanted to tile the whole suite. But we also didn't want the primary bedroom suite to have different tile from the rest of the house. Our current tile is out of stock. Therefore, we decide to re-tile the entire house. At the time, the tile was in okay condition. The kitchen had many pits and dings from dropped items. The second bath and front door entrance had several cracked tiles, and the tiles in the hallway were hollow sounding when you walked on them, indicating that the mortar had come loose on the underside. Well, today the tiles bowed up, about 9 of them.
We were afraid they might shatter if walked on because of the pressure, so John hammered away at the grout until the tiles popped up.
We relieved the pressure.
And threw a bathmat over the loose tiles. We're about a month away from the re-tiling, and now we're glad we decided to re-tile the whole house.
