Our new closet system arrived at noon today by freight. The driver kindly parked it in our garage.
We unpacked it and sorted it out in our bedroom. We didn't have any workers today, which was fortunate because we took up a lot of space.
We had planned to hang them as we put them together, but we changed our minds once we got assembling them. The first one was complicated but we got the hang of it and wanted to continue while we were in the groove. These will hang about 13 inches off the floor and they will have drawers and doors, except for one, and it will have open shelves for shoes and bulky things.
The short one on the right will hang high and provide upper and lower hanging space. There will be an identical one on the left of the tall unit, which will also hang on the wall about 13 inches off the floor. This design allowed us to keep our baseboards and not have to notch out the units for them. Like a hanging vanity, we think this hanging closet system will "float" and keep the floor uncluttered.
There's the last double hanging unit. We were able to use our unfinished vanity for workspace.
We also used the three sawhorses we picked up from the curb. So far, we like the new system. I think with the drawers and doors, it will give our closet a more finished look, since it's going to be open to the bathroom.
We made this dish tonight: fresh garlic, fresh tomatoes, chicken, fresh basil, drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Fresh sunflower seed bread. We had diced chicken for our lunch sandwiches that we used, but it would be even better with a chicken breast. It's easy, quick, and delicious. Cooks in one pot. Great flavors.
Tomorrow: Hang the closet system, make the drawers, install the rods, shelves, doors and knobs. Move our clothes.

AMAZING-UNBELIEVABLE!
