I rode my bike to Clearwater and stopped at Weaver park to exercise. It was 75 degrees with a cold front passing through before lunch.
The workers and the boss arrived early this morning. The boss checked on the recent work. Baseboards got installed. More primed baseboards for the two bedrooms are on the way for me to paint. One of the workers recommended painting them with a foam roller instead of a brush. He said it will look like they were sprayed in the shop, without brush strokes.
They stopped near where the new tile stops. They re-hung the hall closet door.
More new baseboards awaiting touch up paint.
The laundry room got finished.
It was slow going, but their mitered corners look great.
Even the laundry room closet.
This was a complicated corner with cabinet toe kicks meeting baseboards in an inside corner with different heights.
They replaced the kitchen toe-kick skins.
The kitchen looks finished again. They even integrated the dishwasher toe kick that the boss made to cover the ugly, black metal one that came with the dishwasher.
There were three guys here from 8:00 until noon.
The electricians came this afternoon and installed this outlet at the end of the vanity.
I just noticed that the plumbers put in the shut-off valves for the vanity sinks yesterday.
They moved the other outlet above the vanity up two inches so that it would not rest on the countertop and get water in it. It will sit in the 4 1/2 inch backsplash, and the mirror will be above the outlet.
They hooked up the bidet.
Updated the switches in the toilet room.
and in the bathroom. They updated the bedroom switches when they installed the fan.
Our designer sent us this photo of the bathroom before they started.
Here's how it looks so far.
Our designer suggested we meet after the new year to begin planning the back bathroom renovation. We will be ready to get started.
Next up: moving things out of the two bedrooms and the closets; then painting more baseboards.
