Sweet potato fries and a black bean, corn, zucchini, cilantro, Monterey Jack cheese mix.

The holidays are finally over and workers showed up. They fixed the plug in the baseboard in the toilet room. Still needs some painting, but that's my job.

They also added silicone caulk to the underside of the baseboards where the floor wasn't level. Then they had to paint the caulk. 

It was a lot of work, but it makes the baseboards look great.

No more dark shadows underneath.

They practically had to do the entire house.

It's such a small thing, but it really makes a big difference.

When we sat at the bar eating, we would stare at the dark line under the baseboard where the floor wasn't level. Now, it's gone.

Our new phones arrived at the same time as the workers. We spent the day setting them up. These pictures are with the new phone. 

The rest of the week should be busy. Countertop gets installed on Thursday. Friday, the plumber hooks up the sinks and shower fixtures. And the electricians are due back to finish the job. If they finish by Friday, this project will have lasted 3 days shy of 4 months, about 1/3 of a year. We thought we would be finished by early November. We had two hurricanes that shut things down for at least two weeks. Then we had the holiday down time, another two weeks. Then the countertop came in defective and had to be re-ordered, another two-week delay. It adds up.
