I set up the baseboards for painting early this morning while there was still shade.

I needed to paint one board an off-white for the bathroom baseboards. We learned when we painted the laundry room that the bright white made the cabinets look pink. So we painted those baseboards and the bathroom baseboards to match the cabinets. We did the same for the doors in the laundry room, same for the bathroom doors. They will look pretty much white. The color is called Snowbound.

Afternoon jog around the community center and Highlander park with Toby and John

Mid-afternoon, I took a quick bike ride out to Honeymoon Island while John watched Toby.

It was about 83 degrees with a rain shower predicted around 4 p.m.

Nearly all blue skies on the way out.

But on the way home, I could see the rain falling in the distance over the mainland.

I was in a race to get home before the rain. I made it to the end of Watrous before it started raining. It was a gentle rain. It came about 20 minutes before the predicted time. It reminded me of a summer shower. The sun was out 30 minutes later. We haven't had any rain for a long time.
