We did some furniture rearranging this morning. We removed the rug from the sunroom to use in the living room. We moved the sea grass furniture in front of the two double windows, a bit closer to the kitchen. I also replaced one of the shades that broke.
We faced the sofa and loveseat the way we used to have them with the ottoman in the center. The cane back chair is off to the side to break up the line of sofas in the living room and sunroom, but you can still see through to the sunroom.
Wide angle lens. The aqua chair is probably going back to the front bedroom at some point.
The bookshelf is probably going back to the back bedroom later. We're trying to keep those rooms navigable for the electricians. The toilet, bathroom fixtures, and ceiling fan (stacked boxes on the left) are awaiting installation.
Kitchen without the furniture storage behind it.
The eat-in kitchen, clear for now, awaiting inspiration.
The seagrass furniture looks okay in the sunroom without the rug.
We enhanced the office nook with a comfy chair for reading and consultations.
I installed the back closet door and square polished chrome knob.
I did the same for the front bedroom closet doors.
I painted them weeks ago, and they've been in the garage awaiting installation.
They look fresh and clean.
Knob close up. These match the rest of the closet doors and the knobs on our closet doors/drawers.
I've had our new door knobs for the bedrooms tucked away waiting for tile and furniture movement. We didn't want them getting banged up.
I liked the way these were packaged.
I got two doorstops to match the one in the primary bedroom.
This project turned out pretty well with a minimum of fuss.
These door handles have no visible screws. They are hidden behind the square rosette, and that's held on by a hidden set screw underneath.
polished chrome hinges
New handles with doors closed
When we moved in, these two door handles didn't match. One was an antique brass Greek key design and the other was a larger polished brass handle, with a lockset and key.
These handles also lock, but not with a key. They have a pin on the inside you push to lock. If you get locked out, there's a pinhole beside the handle you can stick a metal rod in to unlock the door. The design provides some privacy without having to have a lockset and key.
Spinach, blueberry, walnut salad
Bean, rice, and corn enchiladas

Love all the door handle. Great selections.
