The workers came this morning to put silicone under the baseboards to soften the gaps between the boards and the floor. There is no shoe molding to cover up any gaps.
They look great. The boss came by to look at the work and assess what to do next. We reminded him of the missing door frames in the bathroom. He said we could move furniture back in as long as we kept it grouped in the middle of the room so the electricians could do their work. He said they were swamped and short-handed. He said it may be a while before they are able to come.
I installed the linen closet door in the hallway.
We brought the closet shelving unit from our original closet makeover into the bedroom to think through how to use it in the front bedroom closet.
Because the baseboards are taller, I cut the notch in the back bigger and placed a couple of units in the closet to help visualize how it might look. We couldn't make a decision about whether it is worth the effort. So we decided to sleep on it before we take down the existing shelf and rod. We're not sure it would help with resale, and we're not sure we need the shelving space now that we have culled through our stuff. It might look better just to leave the wire shelf and rod.
Heading to Stirling Park for the last walk of the day. The last two days of showers have really helped our grass. Toby spent a good portion of the day without his cone. So far, so good.
