Wednesday

After John and I walked Toby, I headed to Clearwater Beach on my bike while John went to Walgreens and Publix on his. It's a 9 mile ride to CB, and I got there in 45 minutes via the Pinellas Trail, Coachman Park, the corkscrew, and the Clearwater Causeway Trail, avoiding the streets and traffic.

I bypassed the $7 parking kiosk, locked my bike, stored my flips, and walked in the sand toward the gulf.

It was a gorgeous morning with people already filling up the beach loungers.

The water was cool.

Pier 60 over my shoulder. I was at the southern end of the beach, near the Sand Key bridge.

I made it back to my yoga mound around 9:20.

I'm liking this shaded spot more and more.

It's only 25 feet from the harbor.

I stopped at Weaver Park in Dunedin on the way home to do strength training.

I turned off the Pinellas Trail at Hammock Park to take a different way home.

20.63 miles round trip

After lunch we took a golf cart ride to find shade for walking Toby.

We're trying Toby's allergy suit as a step down from wearing the cone all the time. The suit covers his hot spot, so as long as we're in the same room and can watch him, it should protect his wound.

We dashed to Stirling Park after dinner to beat a line of thunderstorms.

We made it home just in time.

We spotted this sunflower at Stirling Park.

  1. The beach scenes were so inviting. Sorry Toby is still dealing with spots. So irritating. I also had skin irritation this winter, but much better now but persistent treatment is necessary as you are doing.
