Today was yard work day. The lawn service comes tomorrow. John pulled up ferns and flowers that were overtaking the beds.
We took up the black plastic rings from around the avocado trees. Even if the rings were installed properly, the big mowers would dislodge them. The rings didn't seem to serve any purpose since grass grew under them. Eventually, the grass will circle the tree and the lawn care people can trim around the tree.
Same for the other avocado tree on the side yard. The trees don't have any fruit on them this year.
I cleaned up this bed a bit.
This will be our next door to replace hinges.
It has been a beautiful day today. I rode north on the Pinellas Trail this morning, 79 degrees and partly cloudy. It was a 12 mile round trip.
John made these bowls in the oven out of a whole wheat wrap by placing the wrap in a ceramic cereal bowl. The bowls were crunchy and sturdy enough that we could pick them up and eat them. We filled them with beans, rice, peppers, corn, and olives.

Yard works SOOOOO rewarding!
