Morning walk shortly after sunrise
Taming the cords day
This is what it used to look like: 4 boxes, 3 conduits to the ground, 1 cord cover (to the right not pictured), 1 horizontal cable looping under 3 boxes, 1 cable going up to the eve.
Another view through the tree.
Days ago, I removed 2 boxes, 2 conduits to the ground, and one vertical cord cover that was very far away from the cable source.
We were left with dangling cords.
The black cable from the cable company joins the white cable from first bedroom via the attic.
The two cables join in this box. I got a cord cover and re-routed the incoming (black) cable with the outgoing (white) cable so that they entered and exited the cable box at the same place so they could share a cord cover. Then I screwed the cord cover to the wall and secured the cables.
Then I snapped on the covers.
Then I primed it for painting.
I think it looks so much better. We now have the electric meter with a conduit to the ground and a cable box with a single cord cover, covering the incoming and outgoing cables. That's it. The funny thing about this project is that we no longer use the cable for internet service. We use wireless internet from AT&T. But we wanted to keep the Spectrum cable in case we change our mind and go back to cable internet. Perhaps one day, we can remove all the cable lines if wireless proves to be as reliable as the cable.
We decorated our golf cart for the Dec 23rd neighborhood golf cart parade. We zig and zag through the neighborhood in a mile long parade and look at lights and wave at neighbors gathered outside their houses who aren't in the parade.
We have blinking lights too!
The cord project painted with one coat of Swiss Chalet
We're hoping the roofing project gets finished tomorrow so we can get started on the east wall (back of the house).
The next 7 days look great for painting.

What a successful cord project. Amazing!!!! Glad John is decorating the golf cart. Happy ya'll are participating. l
