Saturday-Wednesday

Temperatures last weekend were hovering around 50 degrees, but the wind was blowing at 25 mph. Temps dropped at night to 34 degrees. Our indoor project was to caulk the gap at the bottom of some of the baseboards.

We taped off the tile to keep the caulk from getting on the floor. The caulk is sticky and attracts dirt if left on the floor.

The worst spots are in the primary suite.

We will have to cut between the tape and baseboard to get a clean edge. Otherwise, the tape will pull off the caulk. A sharp box cutter should do the trick.

Under the floating vanity there were large gaps.

The caulk needs to cure for a week before removing the tape.

Our last two outdoor LED motion sensing lights arrived and it finally warmed up enough on Wednesday to hang them. The temperature reached 69 degrees.

The old fixtures were plastic and falling apart.

The new ones are much smaller and made of metal.

We now have five motion lights: 3 on the back and 1 on each side of the house. Three of the lights have accent lights that stay on all night. The other two only come on if they are triggered by movement.

Our new light at night

All three lights, the middle one is just on accent

  1. Yea for lights. Good job. I've been looking at my sink caulking which needs redoing again from your expert job of repairing. Not sure if I can do it.
