The stucco man arrived this morning to extend the light platform on the column for our new lights. He started with a block of styrofoam. Then he cut a curve out of the backside so that it would hug the column. Then he used some spray foam adhesive to attach the block to the column and hide the gaps.
He primed it first so that the stucco would adhere to the styrofoam.
The shape will not only follow the shape of the new fixture, but it also echoes the rectangular shapes above it in the decorative details.
All done. Now we wait for them to dry so we can prime and paint.
Very exciting. You write so well. The job reads like poetry.
