Beginning a blog in the midst of a pandemic . . .

This blog comes to you from Dunedin, a small town on the west coast of Florida on the Pinellas peninsula that hangs out in the Tampa bay. I hope to show you many of the cool things to see and do in this little town. I've only been here for a short time, so I'm exploring it too.
It's a funky, artsy town as you can see from this whimsical bike rack. Normally the causeway, bike trail, and beaches are full of people, but this being Spring 2020 everything has been shut down due to the pandemic. It's sort of like touring a theme park before it has been opened. In many ways, it's quite pleasant. It's quiet and peaceful. If you didn't understand why, you might even enjoy it over the usual.
It's more than strange to see it so desolate. Normally, even if you walk the trail before dawn, you'll have lots of company. But even with a pandemic the scenes are beautiful with lots of blue, white, and green contrasts. Maybe these pictures can take your mind off of the health and economic crisis we are all facing.
People are keeping their social distance even as they enjoy the sea.
