All news today wasn't bad. I learned that the Pinellas County Animal Shelter a few days ago announced that it had adopted all of its dogs for the first time in memory. It seems with people staying at home, they had time to integrate a dog into their lives. That's a great idea because dogs (and cats) are great for relieving stress. And humans being home all the time is great for a newly adopted animal. I checked the website today and they now have two dogs up for adoption.
The walls have gone up for the cart barn and pro shop at the Dunedin Golf Club. It's not that attractive, but I'm sure after all the delays the club will be happy to have it. Maybe some landscaping will help?
This is the dolphin statue downtown beside Al Fresco's and across the street from the Dunedin History Museum.
Lake Saundra had white caps today with the strong winds.
We biked out to the end of the causeway and then headed north to Walls Springs Park, a favorite destination. It's about 6 miles from home, so it makes for a good ride. The spring was calm, no water bubbling up that we could see.
This bird was enjoying the cool water.
Funky artwork lodged into the side of a palm tree.
It was a full day with course work and interview committee work. But we managed to fit in some exercise: 26 miles on bike and 14 on foot (probably more like 10 miles on foot, since biking tends to give you step credit too). The temperature was in the mid 80s with the wind blowing 20 mph. Warm and breezy, indeed. I also managed to rake the yard once the winds died down, vacuum the house, and fix tofu stir fry!
