Saturday

We rode our bikes to Clearwater Beach this afternoon and saw this pirate ship from the Clearwater causeway bridge. It was an easy 20 mile ride.

The beach wasn't very crowded considering it was Saturday. We stayed on the wide boardwalk and away from people.

Clearwater Beach skyline is in the distance.

Thank goodness for lawn service, even if they did cut it a bit close near the street. No complaints.

Dee Dee had another great day. She's starting to ask for food again like she did when she was well. She will come put her head on your knee and press down or stand in the kitchen looking expectantly. She ate heartily, both this morning and evening.

Her body is looking better, too. She's still wide and full of fluid, but some of it may have gone down. She doesn't look quite as bony as she did. When we lift her, we can tell she's put on some weight, which is good. That's what the doctor wanted.

I took a break yesterday afternoon and walked to the Saundra Lake Park in the neighborhood. It was hot but shaded. I enjoyed watching the ducks fly from one side of the lake to the other, gliding to a stop a few feet from the banks, feet first.

I've figured out a work-a-round for my blog picture problems, as you can see. I pull up the blogging web site on my phone and insert the pictures, which is convenient since that's where the pictures are. Then I pull up the site on my computer and type the words. I think it might be even faster than the old way of pulling up the pictures from my computer, after it syncs pictures with my phone. Our computer was purchased late 2013! I can't believe it works as well as it does.

I've read that Apple is redesigning the IMac for release later this year. From the pictures I've seen, it will be one curved sheet of glass where the screen curves into the stand as one piece. Rumors. Anyway, I'd like to wait until the new design comes out, if we can.

We had a great walk this morning on the causeway. It was windy again (over 10 mph) and 84 degrees when we walked.

We made an unscheduled trip to Publix for some missed items from our regular shopping trip. That was a mistake since it was Saturday morning--not going to make that mistake again. It was crowded and people were impatient and anxious, or at least I was.
