We took a picnic lunch on our bikes to the causeway. Rain was predicted for 2:00 p.m. But near the end our lunch, we felt the winds shift and the temperature drop. We hopped on our bikes and rode like demons towards home. We pulled off to seek shelter from heavy downpours twice, but made it home safely. Second day in a row we’ve been chased home by storms.
These seagulls joined us for lunch, but John and I have an agreement: no feeding the animals until we are both finished eating. The gulls kept inching closer and closer.
The ominous clouds were coming from the east. Who would know, looking in this direction?
Sunrise is coming later and later. This was about 6:30 a.m. on Dee Dee’s first walk. It takes me one cup of coffee to get to this point.
Our morning causeway walk was most pleasant: 81, partly sunny, with winds 7 mph.
I used the rain storm to put our bikes on the bike stand and clean and lubricate the chains.
I made caramelized onions, garlic, tofu, spinach over linguine for dinner. The sauce was lite sour cream and Parmesan cheese.
Miles walked:7.7
Miles biked: 7.3
