Tuesday

I've turned in my final grades and attendance for the last time. I didn't have any late papers and no complaints about the final grade.

We walked the causeway this morning. It was 84 degrees with a 10 mph wind, so it was very pleasant. It was partly cloudy, giving us some relief from the direct sun.

We wanted to go to Clearwater Beach on our bikes, and we made it all the way to the other side of downtown Clearwater (7 miles) when we got a severe weather alert and decided to head home. We made it to Dunedin when it started raining. We rode in the rain until we got to the gazebo. We waited it out before making it the rest of the way home in a light sprinkle. It was a fun ride because the trail was empty and we could go fast.

Dee Dee is beginning to get wise to her meds. All of our tricks for delivering them are failing us. She can unwrap a turkey and peanut butter sandwich with her tongue and spit out the pill and come back for more. She'd be dangerous if she had a thumb.

I'm looking forward to the next three weeks of vacation. It will be nice to enjoy John, Dee Dee, and Dunedin without interruption.

I should find out Friday what the college plans to do about opening campus and to whom. My age puts me in the elevated risk category, so I don't think I'll be expected to be on campus.

8.9 miles walking
