Recent storm over wash flooded this fresh water pond on Honeymoon Island with sea water, stunting the surrounding plant life. Over time, it will come back, but the birds don't seem to mind. We passed by on our early morning Dee Dee walk.
There's another rainbow.
An iconic beach pathway through the palms.
I worked the rest of the morning until lunch. Then we went on a bike ride out to the Island and took a short walk. Then worked some more in the afternoon.
I ordered some bike parts with my gift certificate. Since I had cannibalized my old bike when my new bike came, I wanted to replace the parts so I can enjoy both bikes. It's a work in progress.
This is a lagoon that opens up into St. Joseph's Sound. The Gulf of Mexico is to the left, over the sandy beach.
The dead-end of the lagoon is straight ahead in the picture above.
In this screen shot, the blue circle shows where we were standing. The lagoon is at the bottom of the blue circle. The little promontory in the center of the circle is where we were standing.
