It has been an unusual day. Our morning causeway walk got rained out, but we drove to the causeway anyway, parked, and looked at it rain. Sorry, not pictures. But here's a panoramic sunrise on the causeway from last week.
After watching it rain, we rode back home. Of course, it stopped raining a few minutes after we got home, Florida-style. John headed back out to walk, but I stayed home still recovering from our long bike ride to Seminole on Friday.
John brought back this picture from his walk. It's tough to acknowledge the aging process and how it takes longer to recover from strenuous exercise. I told John that we should take some snacks on long bike rides. I think that will help to keep me from crashing the next day.
We spent the day researching dog adoptions. There are lots of organizations out there, rescuing dogs from shelters where their lives are in danger. The people who do this work are amazing people. Reading their stories fills my heart with hope for human kind.
