Monday

Our walk on the causeway began around 11:00 when it was 72 degrees. We left Toby in his crate for safe keeping and hoped for the best. He seemed to have survived without any drama when we got home.

We slept for 9.5 hours last night. I think John was the only one who got up during the night. I've been following my doctor's suggestion to avoid liquids after 5:00 p.m. Toby has apparently developed an adult-sized bladder along with some patience to wait for us to stir before getting out of bed.

We wear our face coverings whenever we are on the bridges or in a crowd.

The high today was 77 degrees.

John took Toby on a bike ride and I jogged alongside. I'm trying to get at least four minutes of elevated heart rate while exercising. We jogged this morning over the bridge, too.

Toby stopped for a break to rest.

It looks like the clouds are following the street pattern.

This massive oak is the second oldest in the city. It's one street over from our house.

It was 66 degrees on our early morning walk around the neighborhood.

This giant philodendron plant grows all the way to the top of this tree.

Toby is sleeping after his many walks. John calls him a roll of jelly with teeth.

We took Toby for a bike ride. This time, we put the trailer behind my bike and John took his trike. Our speeds were more evenly matched for this short jaunt.

The professor couldn't find his sunglasses.

Our short bike ride to the community center.

I got John another colonoscopy appointment. The last one decided that they didn't take our insurance after we had done all the paperwork for the appointment. Oh, well. At least we have John's records for the next appointment.

We had take-out from Juan's Mexican Grill on Main Street. Of the three recent Mexican meals, it was the best. It reminded us of Carrburritos in Chapel Hill. The burritos were huge, stuffed with fresh ingredients. The best part is Juan's is cheaper than the other Mexican restaurants.

Miles walked: 10.5
Miles biked: 3.05
