We drove to Wall Springs Park this morning and walked the Pinellas Trail north to the Conservation Park (Dunn Water Reclamation Facility). The tunnel above goes under Alt. 19 between the two parks. I like the way John and Toby are walking into the bright light.
This is where we began our walk. It was 67 degrees around 9:00 a.m.
This is the connecting Pinellas Trail between the two parks. You can see the tunnel in the distance.
The conservation park is well-manicured. Toby's checking to make sure I don't miss the turn.
And they have a chilled and filtered water dispenser.
They have finished rehabilitating their fountain. There is new stone work around the perimeter and pebbles in the bottom.
We met some vultures on the way out of the park.

On our last walk of the day, Toby saw this beagle coming down the street and sat patiently, waiting for him to get to the corner. Toby would not budge until he got to meet him. When the beagle got close, Toby got down on his belly to greet him. The beagle is an elderly dog.
Last walk of the day.
After bragging about Toby making it through the night without getting up, I guess I jinxed us. That, plus someone accidentally left the toilet lids up and he drank from both of them before bedtime. He ended up getting up three times during the night to pee--long pee pees. The last time he got up it was after 4:00 and I don't think we ever went back to sleep. So, after lunch we crashed and took an hour-long nap.
The high temperature today was 75 degrees, with lots of cloud cover.

We were suppose to have 70 degree weather. I think it was Fake news. It was foggy and cold. I love that Toby knelt down and was kind to the old beagle.
ReplyDeleteAs a female, I would say close the damn toilet lid always. Not Toby’s fault.
He’s training us to do that. Beats getting up every two hours to take the dog out to pee.
ReplyDeleteGreat photography. I too was impressed with Toby’s manners waiting for the beagle. So sweet. The last 2 days has been one of those times when you couldn’t get warm. Remember?????
