The high temperature today was 55, which means for me this was our sixth day of winter. (Any day that the temperature fails to reach 60 degrees is winter, for me.) Luckily, the low last night was 51, so it wasn't unbearable today. In fact, there was plenty of sunshine.
Overnight is another story. The low is predicted to be 40 degrees at 7:00 a.m., then gradually rise to 58.
We were reluctant to leave Toby alone in the house, given his propensity to find ways to escape. Thank goodness he doesn't have an opposable thumb to go along with those paws.
So we drove out to Honeymoon Island with him and walked from building #1 to building #3, about a mile and a half round trip.
The wind was blowing between 12 and 15 mph from the northwest, so the waves were big.
In addition to our bike rides and island walk, we walked in the neighborhood several times. We bundled up as if we were in North Carolina. We did see a few patches of blue on our early walk when it was especially cloudy.
Interesting vegetation around the golf course.
We ran into Yuki on our next-to-last walk, so Toby got to play with his favorite Bichon. He outweighs her by about 35 pounds, but she loves Toby. Toby is so gentle playing with her. When we left, her curly white fur looked like a dirty, wet mop. But she barked for Toby to come back for more.
Our bike route that we took three times today with Toby in tow.
Because we took Toby with us today on all of our walks, he's been a perfect puppy, especially during those times where he expects us to leave without him. He gets super submissive and compliant. It's impossible to leave without him. The downside is we didn't get to walk as far as we'd like.
Miles walked: 4.5
Miles biked: 3.3

Toby continues to amuse me. Love his comments. Hope it will warm up for you tomorrow.
