We put Toby in his crate and rode our bikes out to Honeymoon Island after lunch. It was 72 degrees and the wind was blowing at 16 mph. No big waves though since the wind was coming out of the south.
It was mostly cloudy all day, but there were patches of blue sky.
When we came home, this is what we found: an empty crate. Toby had somehow managed to open the door. He was so proud of himself when he greeted us at the garage door. I guess your dog is mature enough to be left alone in the house when he's smart enough to let himself out of his own cage!
We went to the dog store for food and toys. This is his new favorite toy. The ball lights up and flashes different colors when shaken.

We walked the causeway early this morning when the temperature was just below and just above 60 degrees.
We took several neighborhood rides with Toby. I took my bike on a couple and jogged on one.
Toby found a dead bird and managed to decapitate it and chew on it before John could rip it out of his mouth. We saw it on an earlier walk but forgot about it. Toby never forgets!
Today's bike routes
Miles walked: 6.5
Miles biked: 15.8
An interesting fact from the Georgia senate run-off: Georgia passed the law that a candidate had to get more than 50% of the vote to avoid a run-off back in the day to ensure that a black candidate couldn't "sneek through" a crowded field of white candidates and win. The irony is rich that the run offs in this election made it possible for a black man and a Jew to win this year's senate races, not the outcome the law was designed to deliver.
If I were to live 100 lifetimes, I would always vote for democratic candidates because the democratic candidate is more than likely to be for the equality of races and genders, favor gay rights, raise minimum wages, tax those who have the most, for investing in their communities (infrastructure, libraries, art, etc.), making sure that health care is affordable and available for everyone, respect all religions, favor investing in public education, invest (and believe) in science, support women making decisions about their own bodies in private consultation with their doctors, and ensure that there is a safety net for the working poor and disabled.
