The day began with hope and excitement with the news from Georgia. It ended with dismay that many Republicans have been feckless enablers of Trump’s plundering of democracy, truth, and decency. Today they met the logical outcome of their hideous rhetoric. A very sad day, with two weeks to go.

My birthday was great until we turned on the TV. A very crazy day in Washington. I didn’t get much done today. Toby and John are quite a pair. We had a nicer day weather wise.
