On the way back from Carvor's Fish House, we stopped by the community center to let Toby out of his trailer and stretch his legs.
We had a late lunch to avoid the crowds. Toby was good (except for this one moment when he got up on the bench). He got lots of attention. The guy from the fish market brought him some treats. A few people stopped to pet him. One lady reached in her pocket and pulled out a treat for him. It was a good first-time experience for eating out.
This was only our second time eating out since March of 2020. We wore our masks to order inside and sat off to the side outside. We might try more of this with Toby to get him better socialized with people.
We both got a blackened grouper sandwich with a cucumber and tomato salad on the side. I didn't miss the fries.
Nothing but a snack for dinner.
For our early morning walk, it was 72 degrees. Toby's pictures are as goofy as ours sometimes.
Later in the morning, we put Toby in his crate and rode our bikes out to the causeway to walk.
We locked our bikes at the squid which is about half way. Then we walked to H.I. State Park, turned around and walked over the drawbridge and then back to the squid.
You can see how hard the wind is blowing by looking at the palm trees. Siri said it was a 13 mph breeze.
The high was 82 degrees today, so we pulled the shades in the sun room for the first time since the fall.
Toby’s new harness came today. He ate through the strap of the last one during one of his late afternoon puppy-mania-keep-away sessions. (His game, not ours!) We got the plaid pattern for the Scottish Dunedin flair.
The large size is for dogs 40-60. We weighed Toby today to get his flea/tick and heartworm medicine, and he weighs 49 pounds, so this size should work. It looks like he has plenty of growing room to me. We picked his meds up on the way back from our causeway walk. It was cool to do all that on bike.
Today's bike route to the causeway and back and to Carvor's and back to the community center, then home.
