We woke up this morning to this lovely valentine in our yard. Upon a survey of the neighborhood to see who else got one, we deduced that it's likely from Yuki to Toby. Isn't that sweet? All of her playmates (and her vet) got one.
One of our neighbors on our early morning walk was draining their pool, creating quite a water flow that John and Toby had to inspect. It was a good foreshadowing of events later in the day.
We also woke up to a dense fog. Visibility was limited on our morning causeway walk.
You could hardly even see the water.
It did begin to clear by the time we turned around and headed back to the car.
Toby finally braved the water. The tide was retreating and the wind was calm, so there weren't any big, scary waves.
Incoming sandy wet dog!
It was a very atypical day at the beach with all the fog. Toby had a blast, and we enjoyed watching him enjoy it.
By the late afternoon, it was 75 degrees and beautiful again.
Before dinner, I finally got around to cutting down this sick crepe myrtle. Even when it bloomed it was ugly and it was right outside our dining room slider.
Now, the only tree we have in the back is our avocado tree and a little orange tree.
This is now our view while we are eating.
Some flower blooming in the front yard.
Tonight's dinner: tuna steaks with roasted sliced almonds, roasted red potatoes, and peas.
Tired but clean dog. He’s had two baths in the last two days.

The fog was very interesting. Loved the Valentine in the yard. How thoughtful. Glad Toby finally got in the water. Your back yard is beautiful as well as the blooming flower.
