Sputnik has arrived!
140 individual "sparkle wands" as John calls them. Each one will need to be screwed in.
We plan to get started tomorrow.
Today, we returned the LED lights from the living room/kitchen accent light project. Ever since I ordered them, the florescent lights have been working flawlessly, of course. I've got a less complicated and less expensive solution for when they decide to fail again. In the meantime, I'll focus on launching sputnik.
We put Toby in his crate after lunch and rode to downtown Clearwater. You can see the causeway bridge to the beach in the distance. Clearwater Harbor is at the bottom of this bluff.
Downtown Clearwater is very attractive. Cleveland Street is the main drag.
Cleveland Street has been closed to car traffic during the pandemic to allow for outdoor dining. It's been very popular.
The temperature got up to 77 today.
On our way to Clearwater, we stopped at the outdoor gym at Weaver Park to exercise.
We had the place to ourselves.
I saw this huge azalea bush on the way back from Clearwater. I had to stop and take a picture.
We ordered Chinese take out from New Bamboo, hot garlic, broccoli, and home style tofu. We split an order for just-the-right-size serving.
Today's bike route to Weaver Park and then downtown Clearwater.
Miles walked: 6
Miles biked: 13.79
Today was an unusual day in that we skipped our causeway walk and went grocery shopping and then to Ace to return our light purchase. Both of us were a bit distracted doing research, problem solving, thinking through logistics. We lost track of Toby a few times.
As a result of our distraction, he rubbed his head in bird poop in the gutter, dismantled a mechanical pencil and an ink pen, ate my notes from my desk, and ate several feet of toilet paper, either to get our attention or out of boredom. Ugh. All that makes me think twice about the value of doing house projects. They are not nearly as much fun as playing with him.
Excited about your light fixture. Your choice is much like a fixture I saw in the showroom next to A and B at HP Market. I remember getting pricing etc but not the right time for your renovations. I really like it. The azalea bush is beautiful. Didn’t we ride through Clearwater once?
ReplyDeleteYes, we did. Jeff took us through the neighborhood streets of Clearwater down to the water.
