Toby met a new friend on his morning walk.
We went to the Mobbly Preserve Dog Park after lunch. It was 82 degrees.
This brown lab puppy had not yet been neutered, so he kept trying to hump Toby every other second.
The other dogs were not interested in playing. Toby gave them a chance and then moved on.
He scattered a couple of dachshunds.
But they were not interested in playing.
The Mobbly Preserve has a zip line next to the dog park.
None of the dogs were interested in playing.
He finally decided to chill.
Until John went to use the nearby restroom. Toby wouldn't take his eyes off of him.
We left when a pack of hyper dogs (4) came in and proceeded to roll Toby face first in the dirt. John escorted him into the small dog area and closed the gate. The owners apologized for their overly aggressive dogs. Toby handled it well. He hugged the ground and didn't move.
This was the line this morning when I went to get my Covid vaccination in Palm Harbor.
The best part is I got to take my bike to the appointment. It's a good thing, too, because they opened the appointments to walk-ins for the first time and the parking was a nightmare.
Fortunately, the line for appointments was a bit shorter. It still took about an hour. I get my second vaccine on April 8.
Today's bike route to Palm Harbor Community Center
Here's a zoom out of the Tampa Bay area, or at least the Pinellas County part of it. You can see Oldsmar, where the Mobbly Preserve Dog Park is, at the top of Tampa Bay, in the center of the map.
We got a fish burrito and veggie burrito from Crazy Burrito on Main Street. It was pretty good, but we like Juan's Mexican Grill better.
Miles walked: 6.5
Miles biked: 9.96

I experienced about a 20 minute wait also and then a 15 min check after the vaccine. So glad to be home.
ReplyDeleteI get my first vaccine tomorrow! So grateful 💗. Ready for greater normalcy!
