Driveway art from one of our neighbors. She started doing this at the beginning of the lockdown to cheer people up as they walk or drive by.
☘️ Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️
The caption says “Moderna Art,” as in the Moderna Covid vaccine. The letters “rn” are underlined to signify that this modern hero is a nurse. The figure on the horse alludes to Napoleon Bonaparte, a statesman and warrior. Instead of a pistol, RN has drawn a syringe and is wearing a mask.
After dinner, we went on a neighborhood walk with our next door neighbors who have a young labradoodle who has dog anxiety, much like sweet Dee Dee. Walking with another dog is a good way to help him overcome that.
It was 73 degrees this morning when we started our causeway walk at 9:30. It was warm enough that I didn’t need long sleeves for the bike ride to the bridge.
After lunch, we rode our bikes to the community center with Toby in his trailer. Then we walked through Highlander Park to Hammock Park, which allowed us to stay in the shade almost completely. We need to be careful with Toby’s skin and ours during the sun-damaging times of the day.
Today's bike route to the causeway and to the community center.
John fixed a pot of chili yesterday, and we had some last night. Tonight we got Chinese takeout.
Miles walked: 9.9
Miles biked: 7.75

We had home made chili tonight with corn bread. We have had rain and cool temperatures all day. We went to Durham for a successful dermatology appointment today. Got a much needed car wash on the way home. Lazy day.
