It was lovely on the Dunedin Causeway this morning. The temperature was in the mid-60s with a light breeze by the time we got into our walk. The high for the day was 73, a just about perfect day.
We drove to the causeway because the low 60s can be really cold on a bike. We parked at the restrooms in the middle and walked to the island, back by the restrooms, and then across the drawbridge and back to the restrooms. In our old age, we find that we need lots of water and bathroom breaks.
The humidity was low and the air was clear.
After lunch, John took a nap with Toby and I went to the outdoor gym to workout.
The view of the water from the gym.
On our early morning walk, we passed this bougainvillea bush.
Toby, resting on his lunchtime walk. It took forever to get him around the block. He kept wanting to roll in the grass. It's popular for folks to take their dogs to the parks in their golf carts. We've started to look at that with a bit of envy. When the temperature warms up some more, we'll be able to do that with our bikes and trailer.
Today's bike route to Weaver Park
We did some house cleaning, raking leaves, and things like that. We got Chinese take out for dinner.
Miles walked: 10.2
Miles biked: 5.24

On my walk yesterday I ran across a cute dog who would lay down in the street if she wanted to admire something. First it was a couple of dogs waking by. The it was a baby in stroller. The owner said she just sits when she wants to admire something. What a lesson for the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteThat bougainvillea looks like a tree. I failed to get a plant to live last summer. I may try a mandevilla this year. We had a great day weather wise today. I spray painted a patio side table and a plant stand. I pulled winterized plants from the garage to the patio. My geranium shows some blooms trying to open. So rewarding. Will tackle my front porch pot tomorrow.
