After our morning causeway walk, we rode our bikes downtown with the intention of eating at Taco Baby's near the intersection of Main and Broadway. It's a takeout stand that has specials on Tuesdays. They were not yet open so we explored nearby options and found Caracara Asian Tapas and Taco Bar. It turns out that the couple that owns it also owns Taco Baby and Jack Pallino's Pizza next door. So we decided to eat at Caracara's.
Places aren't using paper menus, it seems. Instead, you use your phone camera to focus on a QR code at the table and it pulls up the menu on your phone, another change due to COVID that makes a lot of sense and was already happening anyway. We ordered the second, third, and fourth tacos, each. They are $3 each on Tuesdays.
They were delicious. John says, no more tapas restaurants for us, though, because the portions are so tiny. I think my mom and sister would love to eat here for lunch, since their appetites are small.
It was a beautiful setting.
We rode our bikes from the causeway to downtown. It was about 80 degrees with a 10-15 mph breeze and humidity in the mid-30s again. The temperature eventually got up to 88 degrees, but it never felt hot.
The causeway was beautiful with big, white, fluffy clouds.
I had some company as I did my mid-walk stretching exercises.
On our afternoon walk around Lake Saundra, John spotted this family of ducks. Daddy duck is way off to the left.
Momma duck and her five chicks stayed closer to the bank.
Today's bike route to the causeway and then downtown.
Miles walked: 8.2
Miles biked: 9.71
