We rode our bikes out to the causeway this morning to walk. It was a beautiful day, high temperature of 90 degrees.
There was a flotilla of kayaks headed to Caledesi Island.
John took this great picture of the same flotilla.
Lunch was awesome: Cauliflower, red grapes, beets, carrots, navel orange, peach yogurt, cucumbers, blueberries, cherries, pickles, and cottage cheese. Plus, the usual turkey and cheese on toast.
Toby waiting to play fetch in the backyard.
After lunch, I hopped on my bike and headed to the outdoor gym at Weaver Park, but I took my favorite shortcut through Highlander and Hammock Parks to enjoy the shade.
I had the gym to myself for most of the time. Good time to think.
Afterwards, I rode down to the Marina.
Then I rode down Edgewater Park alongside the sound until I got to Clearwater. I stopped where Stevenson Creek empties into the sound. The picture above is from the Edgewater bridge over the creek, looking out to the sound.
Here’s one of Clearwater’s famous decorated traffic signal boxes. The bridge over the creek is in the background.
This is the view looking up the creek. The Pinellas Trail bridge over the creek is just around the bend. That’s our usual turnaround when biking on the trail.
This is Toby’s favorite hangout when waiting for us to get ready. That’s his “I’m bored” expression.
I broke out this canvas that I had sketched an image on about five years ago at the same time I painted the identical image for my sister.
It’s coming along.
Today’s bike routes to the causeway, Publix, Weaver Park (via Highlander and Hammock Parks), Edgewater Park, Stevenson Creek, and the Pinellas Trail
We dropped by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Thrift Store in the Causeway Plaza Shopping Center, but we didn’t find anything that we needed.
We split a burrito from Juan’s for dinner.
Miles walked: 8.8
Miles biked: 18.40

Love that you are painting again. Crystal and Burrell have 2 other dogs at their house from wedding guests for the weekend. Burrell walking 3 dogs was very entertaining. We had the black car tires rotated today for Dunedin trip. 👏
ReplyDeleteLove the painting. Love me Sea Dog. Still want it signed.
