Wednesday

We had another beautiful day. The temperature started the day before dawn on our first short walk for Toby at 66, peaked at 80, and then went down to 75 for our last walk of the day.

We can tell that some of the snowbirds are arriving. Traffic is heavier and there are new faces on the causeway.

We saw this fisherman haul his crab trap up while we were crossing the drawbridge.

John got this shot of an old sailboat with square sails. Cool boat.

Toby improved on his record, solving all three puzzles on his own for his dinner. Tonight’s score was: 7:42, beating last night’s score of 7:49. He always starts with the easiest and finishes with the hardest. He finishes one before moving on.

We indulged ourselves with a Jet’s Pizza. My goodness, they are too yummy. John says they’re the pizza equivalent of peanut butter and jelly, his favorite comfort food. We ate the whole thing!

Fortunately, we walked and rode our bikes today. I also made it to the gym at Weaver Park. With some luck, we’ll burn up the calories.

Today’s bike routes to the causeway and Weaver Park

Miles walked: 12.1
Miles biked: 11.52

  1. Glad Toby is improving. Better days ahead. I loved your blog last night in a very special way. Jeff would get a kick out of the square sails on the boat.
