Saturday

John took this beautiful picture of a snake bird drying its feathers on the sea wall under the tidal bridge this morning.

The sky had lots of texture this morning. John said it looked like fish scales. It was 66 degrees for our causeway walk.

We saw an armadillo and two baby raccoons this morning on our early Toby walk.

Toby and John took a quick nap after lunch.

We rewarded Toby to go to his crate for a longer nap.

Then we rode our bikes downtown. HOB (House of Beer) on the right was packed.

We stopped briefly at Salty Paws, the doggie ice cream store. They were sponsoring a doggie adoption.

We ended up at the marina park where a festival was going on. The vendors were a mix of environmentalists, artists, health and nutrition people.

There was a Bird rescue group.

We met some neighbors. They recognized us from walking Toby in the neighborhood. They said they see us ALL the time. We hear that a lot.

It was a good day to be outside enjoying the 75 degree weather. I’m starting to get a better sense of “normal” winter Dunedin, post pandemic. There’s always something going on downtown.

Floating Lotus = yoga + paddle boarding

After a while, we rode over to the marina. That’s the US flag, state flag, Dunedin flag (green & white), clean harbors flag (blue & white), and I’m not sure about the small red flag (Tampa Bay Buccaneers?).

Olde Bay is expanding their covered eating area.

There was a dog fetching in the tidal pool.

Bon Appetite was playing 70s and 80s music across the way, appealing to folks in their 60s and 70s.

Toby turned in for the night.

Today’s bike ride downtown

Miles walked: 11.4
Miles biked: 7.88
