Wednesday

After lunch, we drove to Weaver Park with Toby and then walked the Pinellas Trail downtown to give Toby some practice at heeling in crowds and passing dogs. This crossing is Jackson and the trail where you can see the Victoria Condos in the distance as well as St. Joseph’s Sound.

It was 81 degrees today.

We stopped to listen to a street symphony on the trail.

We went in a dog store and walked around Pioneer Park.

Mardi Gras is coming soon.

I thought this was an odd sign for a brewery.

The morning walk at 66 degrees was perfect, temperature wise.

Curlew Creek from the Pinellas Trail with the golf course bridge in the distance and the water tower even further.

Late afternoon Toby walk at Lake Saundra

Blooming and spreading ground cover in front of our house.

I rode my bike down to the outdoor gym at Weaver Park for the first time in two months. I wore my arm brace and did mostly stretching exercises. I tested my injured arm very gently on three different stations. I think I did okay for the first day back. It has been a long recovery from my kayaking injury. I’m glad it happened over the winter.

Today’s bike route to Weaver Park, through Highlander and Hammock Parks

Our last walk of the day was at sunset, 77 degrees. No jacket. Just shorts and a t-shirt. Perfect.

Miles walked: 12.5
Miles biked: 8.01
