After lunch, I rode my bike to Kafe Racer to get new tires. They were 12 years old and bald. While I was there the mechanic tightened my front stem. At first he thought my stem extensions had ruined the steering tube, but once he took it apart he saw that it was okay. It’s so much tighter now. The ride was chilly at 60 degrees into a 11 mph headwind.
John drove downtown with Toby and met me at the bike shop; then we walked on the Pinellas Trail to Main Street. We walked among the crowds of people and dogs east to Milwaukee and west all the way to the marina.
Toby got to meet lots of people and pass lots of dogs. He’s still shy around people. We need to keep working on that.
This is the renovated Pioneer Park where many events take place. We met the man and dog on the stage on the causeway when Toby and Seamus were both puppies. Toby didn’t remember him.
Strolling in downtown Dunedin in 62 degree sunshine
Our morning causeway walk was chilly at 50-55 degrees. But it was great to see the sun and blue skies.
The water was very clear.
Our first walk of the day was a cold 47 degrees.
This is the cover of the current Parks and Recreation magazine, focusing on the outdoor gym. The guy on the cover has the same schedule I have, so we’re usually there at the same time.
We had burritos from Los Amigos. I think this is our second time. It’s across from the bowling alley and the Chatterbox Cafe. This makes our fourth Mexican restaurant we like. It’s good to have a rotation. This one is authentic; there’s even a store inside of Hispanic groceries.
Last walk of the evening, 55 degrees.
Today’s bike route downtown
