The high temperature today was 83 degrees with 40% humidity—about perfect. The wind was blowing at 11 mph. The skies were exceptional. I’ll have to say that March and April have been wonderful. We laugh when the snowbirds leave this time of year because of the heat. They’re missing the best weather, in my opinion.
Our causeway walk this morning was in the mid 60s. We rode our bikes to the drawbridge and walked from there. We stopped by Publix on the way home and got some essentials before lunch.
After lunch, I went to Weaver Park to exercise.
Toby was lazy today. He kept wanting to flop over on his walks. John got down in the grass with him to get this great picture.
After dinner, we rode in the golf cart down to Stirling Park to walk Toby one last time. We love having the golf cart for trips like this. It’s too far to walk, and it seems wasteful to crank up the car to go to a park a mile away and walk. Typically, we would just walk in the neighborhood. It’s nice to hop in the cart and walk at more interesting places.
We practiced some commands and even let him off leash to practice his “come” command back and forth between us. He got to run full speed for 30-40 yards at a time.
It was 79 degrees with a light breeze as we watched the sun set over the old par 3 golf course.
The 10 day forecast looks pretty good: sunny with lows in the mid 60s and highs in the mid 80s.
Today’s bike routes to the causeway and Weaver Park
I raked leaves again getting ready for the mowers tomorrow. We played with the new vacuum cleaner. We went to Toby’s pet store to get food and treats.
Miles walked: 11.9
Miles biked: 11.91
