Sunday

After dinner, we headed in the golf cart downtown with Toby.

We took the most direct golf cart route since we were low on batteries.

We took the shell path through Highlander Park and the bridge over Cedar Creek.

We made it to the train station and the guitar player.

When we got to Salty Paws, the doggie ice cream store, Toby made a dash to the door.

He could not understand that they were closed, but kept sniffing to find an opening. They must put something amazing in their ice cream.

HOB (House of Beer) was busy, as usual.

We got to use the new crosswalk signal at Skinner and the Pinellas Trail. The green light is an outline of a bicycle.

We waited patiently for our turn.

We made it to Weaver Park to see the sunset and check out the stage for a benefit concert for Ukraine last Saturday.

This is the mobile stage the city brings in for concerts. I guess the city will leave it up for the sunset concerts every Friday in May.

This is how our day started, except the sun was coming up.

We took an early Toby walk around the neighborhood, just after sunrise.

It was a beautiful day today, temperature in the mid 80s with a light breeze.

Beautiful clouds

On my way to the outdoor gym at Weaver Park to exercise, I stopped at an open house at the St. Andrews condominiums next to the club house. This unit was on the second floor, so it had cathedral ceilings. This is the first time I’ve actually been inside one. They are really nice, just a little over 1000 square feet, 2 bedroom, 2 bath. This unit has a space for a golf cart under a nearby unit in the basement, so the space is protected and has a garage door and electrical charging. The kitchen needs updating, but it’s clean and functional. Washer and dryer are tucked in a closet in the kitchen. $310,000. HOA is $381, includes cable, grounds, manager, maintenance, pool, water, sewer, garbage. Small dogs allowed.

Screened in porch off of living room with access also from master.

Large master with updated bathroom

We took Toby to the community center to walk late this afternoon.

Somehow he got freaked out while pooping. I think he had a cling on. He went crazy and ended up smearing it on his hiney, the sidewalk, and leash. That’s not a freckle in the picture above. We walked until most of it fell off and the remainder dried. He won’t let you anywhere near his butt, so there was no way to help him. We had a shower together when we got home.

Lots of kayakers out today when we walked the causeway.

We parked our bikes at Walgreens and walked the entire causeway.

I was given a list of to do items: reduce the back up beeping sound on the golf cart, put air in the tires, and lubricate the bicycle chains. I managed to complete them all.

Busy day.

Miles walked: 12.4
Miles biked: 10.48
