After dinner, the three of us rode downtown in the golf cart to view the sunset. John took most of the sunset photos.
We parked at the north end of Victoria Drive, next to the Weaver Park pier. Then we walked the length of Victoria.
It was a fun trip for everyone.
A neighbor sent a text asking for pictures of John's hair so she could show her hairstylist how she wants her hair done. She's been growing it out with that as her goal. She said she'll have to buy the color, but she wants it to look just like his. John's wearing his new t-shirt he got at the Chamber of Commerce downtown.
John got this shot of a heron walking in the shallow waters of Lake Saundra.
I rode my bike to Weaver Park to exercise after lunch.
Sundays can be challenging at the park. At one point, there were eight kids playing on the equipment. It never fails: there's a super nice kids playground next to the work out equipment, but kids are drawn to adult things. The rest of the week I pretty much have the place to myself or one or two others.
John took Toby for a golf cart ride while I was exercising.
Toby took a break in the shade on his morning walk. The high temperature today was 85 degrees.
On our morning causeway walk, we found the traffic backed up from the state park entrance all the way past Bayshore Boulevard, over 2.5 miles.
The intersection couldn’t clear during light cycles.
Lots of people! This morning's walk was hot! Not much breeze and about 83 degrees.
Here's the 9 day forecast for my family due to arrive Monday evening, not bad. But it's Florida, so everything could change.
Lots of boats out
Miles walked: 11
Miles biked: 11.28
We've put over 400 miles on our golf cart in 5 weeks. It has been lots of fun and allowed us to take more trips downtown with Toby.
