Friday

Toby crawled up onto my pillows this afternoon to take a nap. I hope he was comfortable.

We took it easy today because of the heat advisory. It was 92 degrees with 7-9 mph winds. A shower was predicted for 8:00 p.m., but it never came.

For lunch, we enjoyed a summer cantaloupe with grapes, apples, blueberries, avocado, Greek yogurt and cottage cheese.

We got a voice notice from Alexa that said: "Based on your ordering history, it's time to order another 3-in-1 dog harness." We laughed. But the last time we checked, Toby was still wearing harness number 5. Alexa might get the last laugh tomorrow.

We rode our bikes out to the causeway bridge and walked to Honeymoon Island. The new walkway/bikeway into the park is almost ready. They were filling in dirt around the edges where the forms were. I think they'll put sod or seed down between the walkway and road.

There was a good breeze, so we were able to walk without too much difficulty.

We stayed inside and did housework and watched Netflix.

We took Toby to Lake Saundra in the go cart.

By 7:00, the temperature was still 87 degrees, so our last neighborhood walk with Toby was a slog.

Sweet, tired doggie.

Miles walked: 10.6
Miles biked: 5.70
