Sunday

We're still trying to use our bikes and golf cart as much as we can to avoid using the car, to save gas. It's not that hard to do. We rode our bikes to New Bamboo in the Causeway Plaza to pick up our take out dinner.

As long as we take it easy, I don't get overheated. I drink a bottle of water on this 4 mile round trip.

We took Toby in the go cart to Highlander Park so he could walk in the shade. It was 89 degrees today, but there was a strong wind (9-11 mph) all day.

I had a delicious organic peanut butter sandwich with Polaner seedless blackberry jam with fresh blueberries. Delicious.

For dessert: navel orange, avocado, grapes, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and fresh blueberries.

I didn't feel like it, but I headed to the gym anyway, after lunch. Sometimes, I get in the swing of things once I get there, but today it was a struggle from beginning to end.

I rode the long way to get there. I cut through Highlander Park, Hammock Park, and took the side streets that parallel the Pinellas Trail. I re-joined the trail at the American Legion Post at San Christopher and the trail, just a half block from Weaver Park.

I showed up though and I put in some effort.

After we walked Toby this morning, we rode our bikes to the causeway bridge and then walked to the entrance to Honeymoon Island State Park.

There was a good breeze and decent cloud cover at times. Today is the first day in the last several we haven't had any rain showers.

Today's bike routes to the causeway bridge, Publix, Weaver Park, and Causeway Plaza

Today was a pretty average summer day.

Miles walked: 9.2
Miles biked: 15.98
