Tuesday

Last night, I told John that today was flag day, so he ordered a flag online for our new flag pole. The flag arrived first thing this morning.

Pretty hydrangeas and Cala lilies

These flowers are working overtime. They are hearty perennials.

Bird of paradise

Very strange, but beautiful flower

After our neighborhood Toby walk, the two of us got in the go cart and rode to Stirling Park. From there, we walked downtown and back. It was hot, no clouds, and almost no breeze (1 mph).

But there was plenty of shade on the Pinellas Trail at that time of the morning, around 9:30.

Eli's has a new sign.

After lunch, we rode our bikes to the Dunedin Pet Supply to get Toby some food. The worker gave us a free bag of treats for pride month. After we left the pet store, we headed back downtown via Patricia and Virginia. We rode by the new Dunedin City Hall that's under construction. Then we got on the Pinellas Trail heading north.

I stopped to exercise at the outdoor gym at Weaver Park, while John rode home with the dog food. We left Toby roaming free in the house. He's doing really well being left alone for short intervals. It was a great day at the gym. Easy.

We took a couple of short walks to Lake Saundra for Toby. Once we walked; the second time, we took the go cart to keep Toby out of the sun and off the hot streets.

We rode our bikes to New Bamboo in the Causeway Plaza. Traffic was backed up so far that I think we made better time using the Pinellas Trail and bikes rather than the car. Today was another zero car use day.

After the heat broke and our driveway was shaded, I washed the car. We got bird poop on it at Petsmart. Boo!

Today's bike routes to the pet store, Weaver Park, and Causeway Plaza

Miles walked: 9.8
Miles biked: 13.10
