Wednesday

The temperature this morning was already 81 degrees when we walked Toby. The breeze was only 4 mph. So we took the go cart to Stirling Park and walked south on the Pinellas Trail while it was mostly shaded. We walked downtown and back. Along the way, we noticed there were gay pride flags at many of the businesses. Lucky Lobster had dozens of flags.

Dunedin takes Gay Pride seriously. Here's the calendar of events: Pride Week Event Schedule--Dunedin. Events include a golf cart parade (two of our neighbors have reserved their spots), Pride night at the TD Ballpark, HOB Silent Disco, Pool Party and Drag Show at the Fenway Hotel, "Gen Silent," a documentary at the Hale Center (about senior gay people), Scottish American Movie Night of short films (presented by the Dunedin Film Festival), Pride Show and Dance Party at Blur, Gay-la at the Fenway, Dunedin Lanes Pride Bowling, and more.

City of Dunedin Pride Week Proclamation:
“The LGBTQ+ community has made great strides forward, but equality, inclusion and acceptance have not yet been fully achieved. We must practice these values and teach them to future generations."

After lunch, we took Toby to Lake Saundra.

Late this afternoon, we took Toby in the go cart downtown for a walk. We visited the Chamber of Commerce where he got a delicious treat from three women, one of whom is a dog sitter who stays in your home when you are away. I got her card.

I got my blood checked this afternoon after 6 weeks of taking thyroid medicine. I should know the results tomorrow.

We’re still waiting on our broker to find us home insurance, and we’re still waiting for our current insurance company to refund our premium for the year, since we paid in full upon renewal.
