Saturday

We had another relatively cool morning at 75 degrees. We walked Toby and then rode our bikes to Walgreens at the corner of Bayshore and Causeway Boulevards. We walked the entire causeway.

Then we used our state park pass to enter Honeymoon Island.

We walked to Bathhouse #1 and walked to the southern tip of the island (dog beach). We ran into a neighbor and her dog.

The entrance plaza is taking shape. You can see 5 lanes for entry now (6 counting the bike and pedestrian entrance). The new ticket booth is still under construction, but they have marked the lanes and put up gates.

The traffic to get into the park was backed up almost to the drawbridge. The park really needs to get that entrance area finished, not just for park visitors/workers but for the condominium owners.

It was a beautiful day.

Lots of watercraft out enjoying the day.

By the time we got home at 11:15, we had walked 11.4 miles. We had a hearty lunch.

Later, we took the go cart for a ride around the neighborhood and to walk at Lake Saundra.

It was nicely shaded. The high temperature today was 90 degrees. Toby had a good day. We walked, rode in the go cart, and played fetch in the back yard.

For our last Toby walk, we got sprinkled on. There are huge thunderstorms all around, but they either disappear or form a donut hole around Dunedin.

We watched an adaptation of Jane Austin's "Persuasion" on Netflix this afternoon and evening. It was a 2-hour movie. The critics didn't like it, but viewers seem to like it. We did, too.

Miles walked: 13.1
Miles biked: 3.62
