After lunch, the three of us rode around the neighborhood in the go cart and ended up at Lake Saundra.
It was 90 degrees, so it was good to be in the shade. There was a pretty good breeze all day long, about 6-7 mph.
John took these pictures of me and Toby approaching.
We found a sunny spot for this one.
Backyard flowers. We've been talking about removing the chainlink fence in front of this white plastic fence. It looks like a messy project, not one that would be any fun. We would like to put a fence on the sides, but I think we would need to remove some obstacles first. Maybe this fall we will get serious about doing some yard work.
It was 75 degrees this morning when we rode our bikes to the causeway to walk. We passed this boat named "Wilson's Castaway" with a real Wilson soccer ball on the side of boat. He saw us taking this picture, so when he drove by, he said, "I guess you know what my last name is, right?" I guessed "Hanks," thinking of the movie "Castaway" starring Tom Hanks. But, it was even easier than that: just plain "Wilson."
We took a detour on our walk back and explored the Royal Stewart Arms condominiums.
Our goal was to make it to their sea wall so that we could take a picture of the pirate ship. It had moved anchor from where it has been.
The low temperature and breeze made for an easy walk.
The cloud cover helped.
Mid afternoon, I rode down to Weaver Park to exercise. Today made up for my rained out day yesterday. John rode down just as I was finishing, and we rode downtown together and then home.
Today’s bike routes to the causeway, Publix, Weaver Park, downtown, and New Bamboo at the Causeway Plaza
