We rode our bikes to the causeway to walk, not knowing if we could stand the heat. It was a sunny day with temperatures in the low 80s when we started out around 9:00. The wind was blowing at 6 mph, which made the walk doable. In fact, we walked the entire length of the causeway and one loop off to the side.

There were lots of people out on the water.

Alas, the new ticket booth is still not open, even though the roof is finally completed. We were surprised that the causeway wasn't busier today. Maybe that's why the new booth was closed?
We had a great lunch.
We took Toby for a short walk at Highlander Park and played fetch with him in the backyard.
Around 5:30, a thunderstorm moved through and dumped a lot of rain on us. We made the wise decision to drive to New Bamboo for Mapo Tofu--hot and spicy and delicious. We cooled it down with a follow-up bowl of milk and cheerios. John took the picture above from the parking lot of the Causeway Plaza.
We went to an open house in the neighborhood. The owner is the listing agent, so she and her husband gave us the tour. The husband is an electrician and is going to do some minor work for us next week. So, it was a productive visit.
We took our last walk of the day while it was still sprinkling.
The rain cooled things down to 75 degrees.

The pic of the dark sky was awesome. We went to Jeff’s boat at lkn and took a son and dad out. Dinner at the clubhouse. We are spending the morning on the porch at the lake.
