Wednesday

It was hot and sunny this morning with a light breeze, so after we walked Toby in the neighborhood, we took the go cart down to Stirling Park. Then we walked downtown on the Pinellas Trail.

St. Joseph's Sound from the Pinellas Trail, near Weaver Park

Once we got downtown, we still felt fresh.

So we cut down to the marina.

Then we walked along the sound at Edgewater Park and Hubbard Park towards Clearwater. We made it almost to the edge of the city limits, one street shy. Then we cut back to the Pinellas Trail.

I think we stopped at every restroom and water fountain: Weaver Park, Train station, marina, train station, Weaver Park, Hammock Park. We were well hydrated. By the time we made it back for lunch, we had walked 9.5 miles from one end of Dunedin to the other.

Later in the afternoon, we took Toby downtown in the go cart and walked around a bit. We rode by the new city hall under construction.

Toby plopped down on top of me!

When I took Toby out this morning, the moon was beautiful and full.

We’re watching “New Heights” on Netflix. It’s about a family in Switzerland trying to make a go of the family farm after the suicide of the father. The eldest son is gay and lives in the city. He’s stressed trying to work his corporate job, keep the farm running, and deal with dating.

Miles walked: 14.5
Miles biked: 0
