We enjoyed a good day today. We got an earlier start than usual.
We parked our bikes at Walgreens about 8:30 and walked the full length of the causeway, including two loops on the way back through the condominiums.
The temperature for our morning walk was in the low 80s and the wind was blowing 6-7 mph, so it was warm but not unbearable.
Lots of people out on the water today.
At 2:00 a.m. a driver hit a power line on this side of the causeway drawbridge. It caused a large outage. There were many trucks and officers directing traffic when we passed by this morning. I didn't think to get pictures. We were just trying to navigate the traffic congestion safely.
We went to this open house in our neighborhood after our morning walk and before lunch. We loved the location on Nelson, about four houses away from the golf course and Ben Hogan Dr. The house itself was up to date. But the pool, deck, and enclosure need updating, but it would be cheaper than putting a pool in, if someone wanted a pool. Lots of shade. I think it's priced about right for this market. Houses are staying on the market longer now, and price reductions are common. Six months ago, houses were selling in one or two days, at asking price or higher, full cash offers. It has been a crazy market for the last two years. Perhaps things are getting back to normal now?
We took Toby for a go cart ride to Lake Saundra after lunch.
Toby got to play fetch with John outside while I picked up fallen avocados. I took two bags to the birthday party the other night. The hosts were flying to Boston today, so they gave us all the leftovers from the party, enough to have a good dinner tonight. They made room in their suitcases for the avocados.
We got our afternoon thunderstorm about 6:00 tonight. It cooled things down to the low 80s from the low 90s.
It was a fast-moving storm, as most of them are in Florida. The streets were dry an hour later. It made for a comfortable last walk of the day.
We've been watching "Virgin River" this afternoon and evening. We just finished season 1. It's easy to watch and go to bed afterwards and not have trouble sleeping.
Miles walked: 9.7

Cute house on the market. Jeff and I had a great day. We finished moving furniture around. Jeff brought my office furniture down to the living room much to my dismay but at least I got my dining room back. We created a nice sitting room upstairs in my old office using the pink chairs and small round wooden table. Don’t know if we will ever use it but it is cute. Then we went to see a play at the Black Theatre Festival about Frederick Douglas and another one about Sojourna Truth. Very good. I fixed grilled chicken roasted potatoes and a salad with blueberries and advocados and took to my friend down the street whose mom passed away this Friday. Yes I have a little Rosemary in me. We had Er and Cathy over and I fixed a delicious meal usin my fresh tomatoes. Will send recipe. It was a winner.
