Around 6:00 p.m., heavy thunderstorms and lightning moved through. We even had some hail. The temperature dropped from the lower 90s to the mid 70s in minutes.

By 7:00, we were out for our last walk enjoying the cooler temperature.

We took Toby to Highlander Park mid-afternoon because of the predicted rain coming around dinner time. We usually take him out for his last walk after dinner. It looks like the Fine Art Center is getting a new paint job.

Sunset Concerts are coming in September in Weaver Park.

Toby got hot on his walk and we were all out of water, so John filled Toby's travel bowl with water from a water fountain.

After that, we rode around in the go cart to cool us all down.

Toby played with a really loud toy while I attempted to do research for the upcoming elections. The statewide races are easy, but the county commissioners, city council, school board, and judges are non-partisan and require research. SQUEAK!

We had leftover birthday cake after lunch today. Delicious!

The pizza place at the corner of Curlew and Bayshore has changed ownership again. It was Hackett's Creamery & Pizza, then Beachnutz, and now Corvo Bianco, formerly known as the wood-fired pizza truck at HOB and area events.

The food truck will be parked at the side of the restaurant. The new owners are redoing everything. We will give it a try after things settle down.

We passed by the former Beach Car Wash on the way to the causeway this morning. The buildings have now been demolished. Now they're cleaning up the rubble.

We spotted this polka-dotted stingray from the bridge. It's hard to get a good picture.
