Saturday

Mapo Tofu from New Bamboo was on our takeout menu for dinner. Delicious!

Toby enjoyed some walking, fetching, and napping.

The only unusual event today was this accident on the causeway just before the drawbridge. Vehicle #1 had two kayaks sticking out of it and made a sudden stop to turn off. Vehicle #2 following made a panic stop, coming to a halt a couple of feet from the kayaks hanging out the back. Vehicle #3 (shown above) could not stop in time, hitting vehicle #2 which sent that vehicle into the kayaks which broke the windshield in vehicle #1.

No one was injured but vehicles #2 & 3 had to be towed, while the folks in vehicle #1 drove off and went kayaking.

We stopped and talked to the driver of vehicle #2 as he waited for tow service. He gave us the scoop, along with a 2-year supply of f-words.

Miles walked: 8.1
Miles biked: 8.99

  1. Love the two year supply of cuss words. It sure how the windshield in vehicle 1 got broken. Seems like vehicle 2 should have a broken windshield when veh 3 plowed into him.

We took Unika the Highlander today. She was thrilled. We enjoyed Cameron’s floating dock. We are home and had left overs but we are pooped that is a hard drive.

  2. The kayaks in vehicle #1 were inside the vehicle, pushed up against the windshield and hanging out the open hatch. When vehicle #2 hit them, they smashed against the windshield.
